Amarillo Tri-State Fair and Rodeo Wrapped Up

The Amarillo Tri-State Fair and Rodeo wrapped up this weekend with some big names taking home the wins.

In the bareback riding it was a three way tie for the champion. RC Landingham, Leighton Berry and Bill Tutor all rode for 86 points. The saddle bronc champion was Jake Finlay with an 86.5 points on Stace Smith Pro Rodeos’ Resistols Top Hat and in the bulls, Ky Hamilton was the only one to cover and he got it done with 88 points.

Tyler Pearson was a 3.7 to win the steer wrestling and it was none other than Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira that won the team roping with a 4.3. There was another tie for the win in the tie-down roping. Blane Cox and Lane Livingston split first with two 7.7 second runs. Fan favorite and three-time world champion Hailey Kinsel won the barrel racing.

The rodeo in Amarillo was also one that the contestants on the bubble were looking to go to if they weren’t able to qualify for the Pro Rodeo Tour Finale and some were just adding to their lead.
