The Cowboy Channel, announced today that “Today’s Wild West” will premiere on the network beginning Monday, September 11 at 9:30 p.m. ET. This docuseries takes viewers on a journey to discover the stories, legends, people, and adventures that weave the backdrop of the American West. From exploring the real cowboy lifestyle at the McGarry Ranches in Southeastern Idaho to discovering film history in Lone Pine, California, “Today’s Wild West” shows you the modern day American West and its storied history. Follow the paths where Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, and Custer once rode; revisit the legendary gunfight of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday at the OK Corral; explore the home of Geronimo and his fellow Apaches at Cochise Stronghold; step into the historic Minnesota bank where Jesse James and his gang met their match; or ride the trail of Chief Joseph and the Nez Perce Indians as they fled the U.S. Army for freedom in to Canada … it’s a western filled ride through the land, culture, art, and history, and people of the American West. Hosted by Western author, photographer, and expert, Mark Bedor, “Today’s Wild West” brings you the storytellers, landmarks, and craftsmen, and Native American artists who keep Western history alive and thriving.
