The horses that calf ropers haul down the road are a big part of what gets them to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.
The 2021 Nutrena Horse of the Year in the tie-down was Marcos Costa’s Paraguaia. Andrew Burks’ horse, Lollipop, came in second and he is a half sister to Costa’s Paraguaia.
The third place horse belongs to reigning World Champion, Shad Mayfield. Rampage is Mayfield’s No. 1 mount and anyone else who ropes on Rampage pulls a check.
