Stopping the clock at 2.65 seconds in the shootout round, Jill Tanner became the 2021 American Rodeo Breakaway Roping Champion.

After giving up roping for several years while building her family, but she’s back looking stronger than ever, and her win at The American is a great start to the season.

Joining WSR the day after her big win, Jill talks about coming back to rodeo and her experience at the 2021, how tie-down roper Shane Hanchey helped her in the eight round, how consistency is key, and the support of her family.
